After you learn some basics about webdesign, you'll find out that you need to buy a domain name for your site, and of course a place to host it. Hostgator allows you to pay using PayPal (the safer and easier way to make an online payment). Now that you have the knowledge, domain name and hosting, all you have to do is creating the website. You can use Photoshop, a commercial and complex graphics program, or you can use a free tool, as Paint.net (it lacks some functions and options but it's an alternative if you don't have money for Photoshop).

That's all, but that's only the beginning! Building your own website is a complex process, but not as difficult as you might have thought. And the good news is that you only have to learn it once!
